Community Arts Project

As Lead Artist, I worked with South Norfolk District Council to select artists, shape the project, and liaise between artists and funders, and later reported back to an Exit Conference.

I helped to select three artists who, along with myself, were to make temporary installations at 4 riverside sites and to keep web diaries.  I worked at each site, making a vessel from local materials and inviting visitors to write wishes or prayers on found leaves to put into the vessel, which would eventually be sent out to sea. In return each contributor received a paper fish with the address of the web diary.   Each riverside site was further downriver, and finally I travelled on downriver to the sea with all 4 vessels, took them out to sea and put them into the water.  I also kept a web diary with photos and details of the journey and the wishes, so that contributors could follow the journey to its end.
