Merum Sal |
|
|
I made two installations for this exhibition. The first, entitled Merum Sal, was a circular space defined by salt and by reeds, each bound with fine cotton and suspended from the tie bars in the roof of the nave. The second, Reliquary, was a shallow dish made of driftwood and suspended by paper string from the tie bar in the roof of the church 10 metres above. The sawdust from the construction process was sprinkled through the gaps in the driftwood onto a square of plexiglass on the floor, leaving a ghostly impression of the dish. |
